So we did! On our second day in Australia, still in the New Zealand time, we woke up quite early and arrived to the gorge around 8AM. I think they were just opening…[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]There is two possibilities to visit the gorge: take the bus – which cost around 9$ return each, or walk half an hour to reach the starting trail.[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=\”3832\” img_size=\”full\” onclick=\”link_no\” hide_pagination_control=\”yes\” hide_prev_next_buttons=\”yes\”][vc_column_text]We decided to take the bus because we wanted to walk a bit more in the bush and it was going to save us some time.[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=\”3841\” img_size=\”full\” onclick=\”link_no\” hide_pagination_control=\”yes\” hide_prev_next_buttons=\”yes\”][vc_column_text]I was a bit disappointed by the gorge. Except the fact that we were in a rain forest and that I was terrified a snake or a spider would jump on me at any corner, the forest look very much alike the ones we have been to in New Zealand.[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=\”3831\” img_size=\”full\” onclick=\”link_no\” hide_pagination_control=\”yes\” hide_prev_next_buttons=\”yes\”][vc_images_carousel images=\”3838\” img_size=\”full\” onclick=\”link_no\” hide_pagination_control=\”yes\” hide_prev_next_buttons=\”yes\” title=\”Mount Sorrow, if you can see the top, it\’s sunny at the reef (apparently…)\”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I guess the most disappointing part is the color of the water. I was getting used to the blue, green, turquoise, cristal clear waters of New Zealand and here in Australia – well at least in Queensland rivers so far, the water seems way muddier, browner, darker. It doesn\’t look as nice.[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=\”3834\” img_size=\”full\” onclick=\”link_no\” hide_pagination_control=\”yes\” hide_prev_next_buttons=\”yes\”][vc_column_text]That said, it is a really nice walk in the bus and a good introduction to the Daintree Forest![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]You can even swim in one of the spots! Crocodile free 🙂[/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=\”3833\” img_size=\”full\” onclick=\”link_no\” hide_pagination_control=\”yes\” hide_prev_next_buttons=\”yes\” title=\”The pool :)\”][vc_column_text]Oh and one this – just a little little thing. It was terribly hot in there. Oh boy! I am so glad we did it early because the temperature around 27 degrees Celsius at 8AM and the humidity make the air unbreathable. It is hard to walk in those conditions. Take plenty of water with you![/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=\”3835\” img_size=\”full\” onclick=\”link_no\” hide_pagination_control=\”yes\” hide_prev_next_buttons=\”yes\”][vc_images_carousel images=\”3837\” img_size=\”full\” onclick=\”link_no\” hide_pagination_control=\”yes\” hide_prev_next_buttons=\”yes\”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Did you go there? What did you think about it?? I would love to hear someone else\’s experience there![/vc_column_text][vc_images_carousel images=\”3836\” img_size=\”full\” onclick=\”link_no\” hide_pagination_control=\”yes\” hide_prev_next_buttons=\”yes\”][vc_images_carousel images=\”3840\” img_size=\”full\” onclick=\”link_no\” hide_pagination_control=\”yes\” hide_prev_next_buttons=\”yes\”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
