When even your photographer is speechless.

This was Lake Louise tonight, on September 15th 2026.

I have been to Lake Louise sooo many times thanks to @banffphotography but this was definitely one of the most beautiful sunset I had ever seen over there.

The perfect reflection, the perfect clouds, the perfect color… and also the perfect quiet. Tonight was soo quiet, we were almost alone on the lake shore. The most magical sunset just to ourselves 🩵

I still can’t believe I have the privilege of living here.

If hiking in the dark, getting ready at dawn and witnessing the sunrise on top of a mountain is your kind of wedding day, i want to be your photographer 🩵

Nothing beats the views and the quiet you have up there when no one else is around.

And you don’t have to be a fast hiker!! I am not ahah. Take your time and make it to the top, no one is ever gonna tell you that you are late on your elopement day (in opposite to on a big wedding day…)!

Sounds fun??! I have tons of hikes to cross of my bucket list! DM to start the conversation 🩵

Wholeheartedly,
Dorine

🚁 SPECIAL OFFER IN THIS POST 🚁

Hiking is NOT the only way to have an adventure elopement. There is so many things you could do to make your day different and full of adventures.

An helicopter elopement is definitely one of them! It brings you to higher heights and fewer crowds (let’s face it, no crowds!).

This is why it is one of my favourites here in Banff where it is hard to be alone.

I have a special summer deal in June on helicopter elopements / proposals / vow renewals / couple sessions. Prices starting at 1500$CAD+tx (helicopter ride not included). **

DM for more questions or reach out on my contact page of my website!

Wholeheartedly,
Dorine

Big Beehive Sunrise Elopement Timeline ☁️✨ Night

Big Beehive Sunrise Elopement Timeline ☁️✨

Night before — Northern lights dancing across the sky like a little sign from the universe
7:00am — Starting the hike as the mountains slowly woke up around us
Sunrise — Watching the first light hit the lake from the shoreline
Morning — Climbing up to Big Beehive together
Later — Getting ready and sharing vows at the top above the clouds
Afternoon — Hiking back down as newlyweds, taking it all in
3:00pm — Back at the car, tired feet, full hearts, and the best memories 🤍

The night before this Big Beehive elopement, the northern lights showed up like magic. By 7am, we were hiking through the quiet mountain air together, reaching the lakeshore just in time for sunrise. Watching the first light spill across the water before climbing higher into the mountains felt unreal. At the top, they got ready, shared their vows above the clouds, and soaked in every quiet moment together. We stopped at Lake Agnes Tea House on the way down for a well-earned tea break, and by 3pm we were back at the car with tired legs, full hearts, and a day none of us will ever forget 🤍

Some places are popular for a reason.

Bow Lake and Peyto Lake are two of my couples’ absolute favorites in the Rockies — and yes, they can get busy.

But here’s the thing…

With the right timing, the right spots, and a little bit of planning — it can still feel like it’s just the two of you.

That’s where I come in 🤍
From building your timeline to guiding you through these locations, I help you experience it in a way that feels intimate, calm, and fully yours — even in the most iconic places.

And if you’ve been dreaming of those canoe photos at Bow Lake — it’s not really an option anymore…

but don’t worry, I know a few hidden spots where you can still get that same magic ✨

Because it’s not about avoiding people.

It’s about creating moments that feel like no one else is there.

DM me for package details ✨

Wholeheartedly,
Dorine
